Since 1929, we have served homemade and market cuisine, with the same family spirit with which our founders first opened the door.
Can Lluís was founded in 1929 by Lluís Rodríguez and Elisa Vilaplana, in a place that had previously been an inn known as Can Mosques. From the beginning, they offered homemade, approachable, and popular cuisine, which soon became the restaurant’s hallmark.
Success led to the opening of Els Ocellets, a place very close to the original, maintaining the same philosophy: traditional Catalan cuisine made with care and respect for the flavors of always.
To be a benchmark for traditional Catalan cuisine in Barcelona, keeping alive the family spirit that has accompanied us for almost a century, while offering a place where everyone feels at home.
